Transforming Dreams into Reality: Tiny Home Inspiration

As we're approaching the final stages of our Tiny Home build it's time to start sharing the footage of the process! We are beyond grateful to get on board with the Tiny Living Movement and live simpler, richer lives with our Garage Studio Apartment.

The garage conversion has been a process and a half, but before we get into all of that, we wanted to share the experiences that led us to this decision. It started with our backpacking trip through SE Asia and living out of rooms and tiny apartment everywhere we went. We realized we didn't need all the space we had back home and that in fact letting go of it would allow us to be better off financially and travel more.

When we got home, we began renting out our spare rooms on AirBnB and we've LOVED the experience of meeting new people from all over the world. But we wanted to take it further. We wanted to convert our detached garage into a tiny home for us, and be able to rent out our main house to others. Thus, providing a safe haven for travelers and a way to provide for ourselves that allowed us to escape the corporate 9-5 life.

We found some great inspiration from a friend day trip to the Florida Suncoast Tiny Home Festival and as well as a date day to Ikea to check out their Tiny Apartment set ups. we'd also found an IKEA in Bali that totally wowed us with inspiration... but that's for another video!
