When it came to the question of what to do for the floor of our detached garage to tiny home adu conversion- there was only one answer! Use this once in a who-knows-when-it'll-ever-happen-again opportunity to do a massive acid stain and polyurethane seal art project!

We had absolutely no idea what to expect, but with trust in Montana's creative vision and Vjeran's make-it-work attitude, we knew we could make something cool, if not also totally crazy. The vision was an oxidized copper patina and well, we absolutely LOVE how it turned out. And we think you should absolutely do this too!

So, watch this video, learn from our mistakes, and get crack-a-lackin on that concrete stain smackin.

We went with Direct Colors for our products and cannot recommend them enough. Their customer service was IMPECCABLE. They actually answer the phone and are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. There website is dense and can be alot to navigate but that is because it is PACKED with project ideas and how-to-guides. See here: https://directcolors.com/diy/how-to-a...

One thing we don't touch on enough in the video, in hindsight, is the Miracle Grow portion. Like why? We don't know why, but it enhances blues in the stains. Particularly, the colors we chose- Seagrass and Azure Blue. It seems the typical way people do this is, and the way we did it as well, is to sprinkle it over the stain and then spray some more spray over it and just hope it dissolves as much as possible. If we were to do this again, we would try a different method that we saw mentioned, which is to dissolve the miracle grow in the stain before spraying. You would probably have to let it sit overnight to dissolve fully, which was time we just didn't plan for. But you should try it- and let us know how it works for you! So, now it's time to answer your burning question: How much did it cost!?!?!?

Drum Roll....... all in...... it cost us..... $588!!! WORTH IT
